Timothy Taylor
Timothy Taylor graduated from RMIT in 1995. He then moved to Canberra to complete an internship in Osteopathic Clinical Studies. During this time, he was fortunate to be mentored by three experienced osteopaths. As a result, he was inspired to explore the full range of osteopathic techniques.
He went on to establish a busy private practice in Deakin, ACT. Over time, he developed a reputation for successfully treating complex cases of chronic musculoskeletal pain.
In 2004, Tim and his family returned to Melbourne. The move was motivated by a desire to raise his four children closer to their grandparents and extended family. Initially, he worked as a locum osteopath at ‘Osteo4kids’, a paediatric clinic in Fairfield.
Later that year, Tim founded Darling Corner Osteopathy. Thanks to strong word-of-mouth referrals, the clinic grew quickly. In 2008, it expanded into the shop next door. This allowed the team to welcome more osteopaths and remedial massage therapists.
Throughout his three decades in private practice, Tim has continued to expand his knowledge. He has completed various postgraduate clinical courses, including the Osteopathy in the Cranial Field intermediate program. In 2011, he formalised his interest in paediatrics by completing a Graduate Certificate in Neonatal and Paediatric Manual Therapy at Victoria University. In addition, he has participated in clinical studies with the Academy of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine.
Tim remains passionate about teaching and mentoring. Because of his own positive mentoring experience, he now shares his skills with colleagues and new graduates. At Darling Corner Osteopathy, he encourages collaboration through an “open door” policy. As a result, practitioners often share difficult cases and support each other with techniques.
Outside of work, Tim enjoys playing competitive hockey. He also loves spending time with his family and being active outdoors.
Special Interests – Timothy Taylor
Having four children of his own, Tim enjoys the challenge of treating children. In particular, he enjoys seeing infants who present with digestive pains and dysfunctions like colic and constipation, becoming relaxed and happy babies.
Tim also enjoys a laugh with his adult patients and gets satisfaction from seeing them leave his treatment room feeling more flexible with improved vitality for the joys that life has to offer.
