Cathy graduated from Victoria University in 2002 after completing a Bachelor of Health Science and Masters in Osteopathy. Before having three children she worked in two well established clinics in both Geelong and Bayside, the latter alongside her long term mentor.
Returning to Victoria University, she has enjoyed teaching as a Clinical Educator in the Student Clinic for the last 5 years.
During her 15 years of practice, she has also obtained a certificate in dry needling, a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching and Education and training in EMAA (Easy Moves for Active Ageing Australia) – a safe and effective physical activity and exercise program for active ageing.
Establishing the rest of her career here in Malvern where she grew up and continues to raise her family, she is dedicated to supporting the local community of Stonnington.
She has particular interest and enthusiasm for patients over 50 years of age and believes that with a combination of therapy such as Osteopathy and prescribed daily movement, people can continue to live an independent, active and healthy lifestyle.
She believes everyone is entitled to the skill of a “half squat” or “rising from a seated position” and needs to start taking precautions earlier, rather than later in falls prevention measures.
