Simon Blair
Simon Blair completed his Bachelor of Clinical Science and Master of Health Science at Victoria University. His interest in osteopathy began after seeking treatment for several sporting injuries sustained while playing Rugby Union. Impressed by the approach and results, Simon decided to pursue a career in the field of osteopathy, motivated by his desire to help others achieve the same recovery and well-being he had experienced.
Simon represented the Melbourne Rugby Union Football Club (RUFC) for over 20 years, both as a player and, more recently, as a coach. This extensive experience in competitive sport has given him valuable insight into the physical demands placed on the body. Although he has recently hung up his boots as a player, he remains active in the rugby community as a coach, and outside of his professional life, he enjoys staying fit by playing tennis, cycling, and going to the gym.
In his osteopathic practice, Simon utilises a range of manual techniques, tailored exercise programs, and lifestyle advice to support patients on their recovery journey. He places great emphasis on effective communication and patient education, believing that understanding the cause of their complaint is key to fostering long-term recovery. By encouraging patients to take an active role in their healing process, he helps them prevent re-injury in the future.
