Liora Dafner-Beach has been a member of the Darling Corner Osteopathy team since 2008. She graduated from Victoria University where she completed her masters looking at practitioner sensitivity in range of motion palpation. She later returned to Victoria University to lecture in biomechanics in 2011 and 2012.
She enjoys the challenge of unravelling the biomechanical causes of chronic pain and has particular interest in the treatment of headaches originating from neck dysfunction, sciatica, RSI and mechanical low back pain. Liora is committed to encouraging self-management and takes time to formulate individual rehabilitation plans and to discuss ways the patient can optimise ergonomics in daily life.
Liora has a strong belief in the role of natural body movements in promoting general health, looking to the way humans evolved as a source of insight into how to stay physically in tune. This includes an appreciation for the barefoot movement of the feet and the natural postures of our hunter-gatherer ancestors.
